Confirmed Competitions at WDGC 2018

Following a review of the preliminary entries by the WDGF Board and taking into account of the conditions as per the WDGC Regulations, the following competitions are confirmed:

  • Men’s Individual and Team Championships
  • Ladies’ Individual and Team Championships
  • Senior Men’s Individual and Team Championships

Due to numbers not meeting the minimum numbers, the following competitions will not proceed:

  • Super Seniors Team Championships
  • Junior Championships

Important Notes:

  1. The criteria for a minimum entry of an individual or a team championship is three (3).
  2. Super Seniors are still eligible to participate in the Senior Men’s Individual and Team Championships and their handicap limit must meet the Senior Men’s handicap criteria (16.4).  If Super Seniors are participating as an individual golfer, their handicap limit must be 12.3 (25% less than 16.4).
  3. There will still be a concurrent Super Seniors winner, the best score by a 65+ year old in the Senior Men’s Championship.
  4. Juniors are still eligible to participate in the Men’s and Ladies’ Championships and their handicap limit must meet the category’s handicap criteria (10.4 and 22.4 respectively). There will still be a concurrent Junior winner, the best score by a 18 year old or younger in the Men’s or Ladies’ Championship.
  5. In the interests of ensuring opportunities for Junior Golfers, please submit to secretaryxxworlddeafgolf.com an application to enter any Junior Golfer that has a handicap reasonably not in excess of the Men’s or Ladies’ Championship handicap limit and the WDGF Board will make a determination.
