The WDGF is pleased to announce the R&A continues to support the event, 2018 World Deaf Golf Championships with a grant of £15,000. Kevin Barker, Director – Golf Development, expressed support with his comment, “We are delighted to support the 2018 World Deaf Golf Championships to be played at Carton House, an event that we have been supporting for many years now. We hope that the event is a huge success and acts as a catalyst for others to take up the sport.” The 12th World Deaf Golf Championships will be hosted at the Carton House in Maynooth, Ireland from July 24 to 27, 2018.

The R&A has provided support for the bi-annual event in previous years at Denmark in 2016, USA in 2014, Japan in 2012, and Scotland in 2010. “On the behalf of WDGF, I am delighted that the R&A is continuing to support the World Deaf Golf Championships. This grant will reduce the green fees for competitors. We are extremely grateful to the R&A for their recognition of our tireless work in improving the quality of competition,” remarked Simeon Hart, WDGF President.
